A Green Tree....

Hello stamping friends. Well today is a bittersweet post as it is my last time posting for Great Impressions. I have so enjoyed my time on this fabulous DT and I hope I've brought some inspiration to you! For my last card I chose one of my favorite sentiment stamps from the store.

I love this image and knew it would pair perfectly with this sentiment. The image is called F517 Bird in Roses and the sentiment is called D465 Live There. I watercolored the image and added some borders and seqins. Thanks so much for my time on the GI DT!

Be sure to join us in this month's challenge (click!) and if you use any GI stamps be sure to link up to the customer gallery (click!). Be sure to stop by the Great Impressions store (click!) and maybe treat yourself to a few new images...did you know shipping is free over $25?!

Elegant Wedding

Hi, all!  I'm back today with another card that uses a gorgeous sentiment stamp from the Great Impressions online store!  This card was made for my little sister, who was married last month.  Come and check it out...

The sentiment, E36 On Your Wedding Day, was stamped onto some glimmer cardstock and heat embossed in gold.  It is SO hard to photograph the shine, but it is so pretty!

This amazing sentiment can stand on it's own, so all I did was layer some cardstock, glitter paper, and dry embossed glimmer cardstock onto the card base. Like I stated, the shine on this card is totally unreal!  SO elegant!

I'm pleased to say that my sister and new brother-in-law really loved this card!  Hopefully they keep it forever...they better! ;)  What do you think of it?  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next soon with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

This week we are spotlighting techniques.
Here I have used the Out of the Box die cutting technique.
If you have an image that doesn't quite fit your die you can still make it work!
Love the way the balloons are floating above the square die cut!
For more details you can find the tutorial here.
For this card I used the G521 Bear Floating By and
C340 Happy Birthday sentiment.
I heat embossed the sentiment.
Thank you Great Impressions for a fabulous year on the Design Team!

Hello

This week we are showing you some great GI tutorials! For mine I chose a sponge spotlighting technique. This is a really easy technique but gives such a pretty result. You can find the original tutorial here.

I started by masking off a circle that I had die cut from a post it note. Then I sponged 2 Distress ink colors, Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade onto my card base. After removing the mask I stamped the B151 A Little Hello sentiment and the E807 Queen Ann Lace.

Fishbowl Easel Card

Hello, all!  I'm back with another creation that uses stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  This week, the design team is featuring tutorials that have been shared on the Great Impressions blog.  I chose to make a shaped easel card.  Come and take a peek...

I decided to create a fun fish bowl card using G421 Bubble Fish as my image.  I stamped it, colored it in with glitter gel pens, then added it to the front of the easel using Glossy Accents, reinkers, and Stickles.  I then added some seashells and pearls to create a "sea floor".

I chose E767 Bubble Over as my sentiment because I LOVE LOVE LOVE a good pun!  This sentiment just seemed to be perfect!  It's even circular in shape, like the fish bowl easel!

I super duper LOVE the way this card turned out!  It turned out better than I expected, actually!  What do you think?  Love or hate?  I'm excited to find out, so please leave a comment below! :)

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next soon with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Kitten Kaboodle...

Good morning!
Can't believe this month is slipping away so quickly!
It's Saturday, so here I am with another fun creation, using some new

Here's what I did:

Are these kittens not the sweetest stamp ever?
This card was SO easy!
The image was colored with Copics and fussy cut.
Found a pretty piece of patterned card stock, and trimmed it enough at the top edge of the flowers that the kittens could sort of slide in behind the flowers.  The sentiment was stamped, panel attached to card base,
and I was done!

I know you want these stamps!
How could you live without them? So sweet, right???

Don't forget about the GI challenge!
The theme for May is 'Celebrate Spring'.
You don't have to use GI stamps, but we'd love it if you did!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

Another masculine birthday card!
I needed to have some "guy" cards in my stash!
Love this new E870 Hound Dog
I stamped him with kraft ink and embossed him with clear embossing powder.
Then I fussy cut the image and popped him up with foam tape onto some die cuts.
I added the B247 Happy Birthday sentiment, also embossed with the C478 Born to be Wild sentiment!

Mom's Kitchen

Hi, friends!  I'm back with a paper pieced card using a darling stamp from the Great Impressions online store!  This was actually my mother in law's Mother's Day card, but I couldn't share it until now!  Take a peek...

This image, H194 Mom's Kitchen, was perfect for my MIL's Mother's Day card because our last name is Kitchen...well, I guess I thought it was clever. ;)  The image portion was paper pieced, and the stockings were colored in with glitter gel pen.  I also highlighted the sentiment portion of the stamp with glitter gel pens.

Some bits of bling were added for a feminine feel.  I like the way they coordinate with my color scheme and add a finished feeling.

I'm pleased to tell you that the card was a hit!  I was relieved, because paper piecing this image was not easy, lol!  What do you think of the finished product?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Another Birthday?

It's Saturday, and I'm back to share another fun creation for Great Impressions Stamps.
It seems like their releases just get cuter and cuter!

Today, the Great Impressions stamps that I used are:

Here's what I made with these darling new stamps:

I thought it would be fun to give this little mouse a floor to sit on, and a pretty painted wall.

When I see the card here on the screen, it almost looks like he's sitting on a wall, with a grassy field in front of him.  Oh well, I tried!!!

Loving the new releases!

Don't forget about the GI challenge!
The June challenge is "Anything Goes"!
You don't have to use GI stamps, but we'd love it if you did!
