Guess the Carol Week: Day One

Welcome to the first day of our "Guess the Carol" week here at Great Impressions!  We  cannot wait to see what you think today's carol is!  Please leave a comment below with your guess for your chance to win the stamps used on today's project.  Take a peek at what I have for you today...

I LOVE this new sentiment, H276 Our Family To Yours, and decided it was PERFECT for the carol I chose.  I colored it with two different green and a red marker before stamping it onto some white cardstock.  I added some fun sequins for a bit more sparkle and shine.

After matting my sentiment with some dark red cardstock, I added the focal panel to a card base prepped with some fun patterned paper.  This card was SO quick and easy, I just know I could whip up about 20 of these in an afternoon!  This is the PERFECT stamp for some last minute holiday crafting, so grab it from the Great Impressions store today!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  If you'd like more chances to win, please check out the other posts from this week and stay tuned for another post tomorrow!  See you then!

Fall Tree

I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving holiday break! The design team is also on a break this week, so here's a card I made back in September. I thought it was fitting for the season. Some of you may still have fall leaves, however we are already covered with snow!

A very simple design: I just stamped the tree and sentiment on blue cardstock, using Copics for the tree trunk and Flower Soft for leaves. Then I layered that on some orange patterned paper and added a strip of skinny stitched ribbon. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you back here next Friday! Don't forget to link up to the Challenge and the Customer Gallery with your creations if you get a chance to create during your break!

Friendship Grows ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to re-share one of my favorite projects that I created using one of the adorable Great Impressions Stamps.

The adorable Friendship Grows (G184) stamp is such a lovely stamp to color and create with. When I created this card I was thinking of the old-style stationary from my childhood where you folded the paper to create a card.

Copic Markers were used to color the image, and distress ink was applied for the sky background. I added a butterfly and some bling to add a little extra to my design. The wings fold down for easy mailing.

Here's another look at Friendship Grows (G184) stamp ...

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and Safe Black Friday!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

When It Rains

Good Tuesday Morning, Donna Here!

Today we're taking a walk down Memory Lane.  I get to re-share one of my favorite Great Impressions cards that I have made from my time as a Design Team Member.

Here's my first one, more to come next month.

I used the F448 When It Rains stamp set.  I adore this sentiment with these sweet little rain boots!  Sentiment and image stamped using Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I added a wee bit of Sakura Glitter Pens to some of the boot accents, they give it a subtle sparkle.

Classic and Scalloped Circle dies layered on top of a doily.  Corner Tabs, Enamel Dots, Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Jute Twine and a little silver heart charm as an accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Holly Jolly Peppermint String

Hi, everyone!  It's Monday, so that means it's time for me to share another card using fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I've got another card using my favorite Peppermint String image to share with you today...take a peek...

I wanted to use the image in a different way from how I used it last week, so I decided to keep it simple and stamp E816 Peppermint String just one time and then add a larger sentiment below.  I once again colored the image with a Sakura glitter gel pen and then I added some rhinestones to the centers.  The sentiment, E850 Holly Jolly, was colored with markers before I stamped it.  Some faux stitching helped pull the focal panel together.

I used some digital patterned paper to add more interest to my card base before adding the focal panel.  I think this card is super fun, and I hope you do, too!  Please let me know what you think about it in the comments below! :)

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Decorating the Tree...

Happy Saturday!

You know....'that moment' when you finish a card, and you're really REALLY loving it?
I had 'that moment' with this card.  I loved creating this card with these wonderful Great Impressions stamps:

Squeeeee....is he not the ca-utest snowman ever?

Wish you could see the sparkle. I used a clear Wink of Stella Brush on all of the snowbanks, lights, bird wing, branches, hat and scarf.

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

Christmas Door

I've always wanted to make one of these door cards, and I think this Evergreen Wreath G496 stamp is perfect for hanging on the front! I added Flower Soft for some texture.
Have a great weekend!

Thursday with Toni

Hello!   Time for another Great Impressions card for you!

I had great fun with this card.  I stamped the G496 Evergreen Wreath twice, once in a dark green and once in a lighter green.  This makes for a  really fully looking wreath without a lot of fuss.  I then colored in the berries.  A simple diecut straight across the center finishes the card.  I also used texture on this card in the form of falling snow and woodgrain.  Still my beloved white on white but added interest.

See you next week with another GI designToni

The Most Wonderful Time ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Ruza here to share a holiday card featuring one of the adorable holiday stamps from Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card features the adorable Birdie Stamp (A150). To start I stamped the adorable bird with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink across a panel, and cut it down to 1" x 5-1/2". Copic Markers were used to color the birds, Silver and White Gelly Roll Pens were used on the gifts, and distress ink was applied around the image. Once complete, I layered the panel onto red and green cardstock, and then onto my DP covered cardbase.

I stamped the The Most Sentiment (C490) with the same Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to the bottom of the card, and then added my bling in the corners and around the sentiment.

I can see myself using the adorable Birdie Stamp (A150) throughout the year. It is perfect for any celebration, not just Christmas. All you need to do is change the colors.

That is all for me today. I will be back next week with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions! I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

Oh Christmas Tree

Good Tuesday Morning, Donna Here!

I loooooooooove this card I created for the upcoming Christmas Holiday.  Hope you do as well.

This is the adorable Great Impressions stamp, E402 Oh Christmas Tree.  Isn't that mouse and his little friend (in this case a blue bird) just the sweetest???  Adorable!!!  I stamped the image on to a Sizzix Labels And Stitched Frames die cut (sans the stitched one) and added a bit of sponging using Antique Linen ink.  Copic Markers used for coloring.

Dotted Scallop Border and Heart String dies used.  Corrugated strip for texture, Chipboard Button, Jute Twine and Enamel Dots for accents.  I also added some chunky glitter for a snowy path.

This guy looks like he is on a mission......a wonderful Christmasy Mission!

Peppermint Easel Card

Hi, everyone!  It's Monday, so that means it's time for me to share another card using fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I've got a fun holiday easel card to share with you today...take a peek...

I LOVE this image, E816 Peppermint String, and so I wanted to use it to create a fun patterned paper that covered the front and was used as the easel stop.  I stamped the image down the paper, then colored in the images with Sakura glitter gel pens.

The sentiment, C427 Season's Greetings, was stamped onto vellum and then cut into a banner.  I layered it on to of a few other vellum banners.  It's held in place with staples that were covered by the velvet ribbon down the side.  I added a snowflake for a fun accent. :)

I really LOVE this fun card!  I think this stamp is SO FUN, and I hope you like what I've made with it, too!  I hope you leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts! :)

Tu Tu Cute...for Christmas!!!

Happy Saturday!
Sheesh...can you believe we are halfway through November?
Yikes!

I'm here today to share a fun Christmas card with you.  I love to use the unexpected in my creations, and today I did just that!  I started with some traditional Christmassy (is that a word?) stamps, and finished up with an Easter image.  Yep, Easter!
Here's what I made using these Great Impressions stamps:

This was a lot of fun to do - I smiled while I was coloring this sweet chick!
As you can see, I inked up only one of the chicks, and stamped her in the midst of the beautiful, festive frame. Added some glossy accents, for a bit of holiday shine!

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some fun stamps

Blue and Gold Ornaments

Welcome back! Are you ready for another Christmas card idea? Today's card features

The bulbs are heat embossed in gold on vellum to give them a bit of that translucent look that real Christmas ornaments would have. Then I colored in parts of them with Distress markers and even a bit of gold Stickles to the bottom one with the stars. Then I glued them on top of cream cardstock before cutting them out. I poked holes through the tops so that I could hang them, using gold thread for the strings, as well as the sewing around the border. Then I stuck them down with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is gold embossed as well.
Thanks for stopping by today friends, and I hope that I've inspired your Christmas creations!

Penguin Present

Hi, everyone!  It's Monday, so that means it's time for me to share another card using fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I've got a cute holiday card to share with you today...take a peek...

I used D358 Penguin in a Box on the front of my card.  I colored the image in with Glaze and glitter Sakura gel pens.  I punched it out, layered it, added some liquid pearls, then placed it onto my card base--complete with some faux stitching!

There wasn't room on the outside for a sentiment, so I added E883 Oh By Golly to the inside of the card.  I added more Glaze and glitter Sakura gel pen to highlight it.

This tiny card would be PERFECT as a gift tag!  I think it turned out pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself!  I hope you like it, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
